Cycling refrigerated air dryers that save energy by shutting down the refrigeration compressor during low-demand periods — without compromising air quality.
Champion Pneumatic — Energy Efficient Cycling Dryers
The Champion CRH Series uses a cycling refrigeration design with a thermal mass (glycol or eutectic fluid) heat storage system. During periods of low air demand, the refrigeration compressor cycles off while the stored cooling capacity continues to chill and dry the compressed air — significantly reducing energy consumption compared to non-cycling designs.
Cycling dryers are an excellent choice when air demand is variable or when the compressor runs part-time. The CRH Series maintains outlet air at a consistent 38°F pressure dew point throughout the operating cycle.
